Jersey Cove is positioned in the beautiful County of Victoria, centrally located on Cape Breton Island on the western shores of St. Anns Bay. As well, Jersey Cove is situated on Highway 312, just seconds from the world-famous Cabot Trail. Founded in the early 19th century, the land at Jersey Cove was granted to James Dauphigny in 1835, then again to Norman and Isabella Montgomery in 1866 and 1870, respectively. The Cape Breton capital, Sydney, is 67.6 km (42 mi.) southeast of Jersey Cove.

Jersey Cove is truly positioned in the middle of all the action, just a short drive from the Cape Breton Highlands, as well as Baddeck and Sydney. Jersey Cove also exhibits a twenty-four hour ferry that travels across the Bay to Englishtown. Kayaking and boating tours are available at Jersey Cove, as well.
