Ingonish is one of five parts, consisting of
Ingonish Beach, Ingonish Ferry,
Ingonish Harbour, Ingonish Centre and finally Ingonish. The whole area is only 16 km (10 mi.) apart, so it's as if all communities are one, and visitors can really take advantage of that. Ingonish is mostly a tourism area, located at the base of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Ingonish is located on the World famous Cabot Trail, just 143 km (88.6 mi.) from Cape Breton.
Ingonish visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, from playing in the ocean, on the scenic
Ingonish Beach, or cross country skiing through trails. Even a summit offers panoramic views of the Highlands and Ocean. Golf, hike, fish, catch lobster, breathe in the fresh ocean air or sit back, it's all up to you. Ingonish is peaceful and captivating, a rare, secluded beauty.
Ingonish accommodations include bed and breakfasts, inns, motels, cottages, chalets and resorts.
